Construction of Greenfield Connectivity to Jewar International Airport from DND- Faridabad-Ballabhgarh Bypass KMP Link – Spur to Delhi Mumbai Expressway on Hybrid Annuity Mode under Bharatmala Pariyojana in the state of Uttar Pradesh & Haryana
The Jewar Expressway Project consists of construction of a fully access controlled Expressway with 6-Lane divided carriageway with flexible pavement from Km 0+000 near Chandawali Village (Dist. Faridabad, Haryana) to Km 30+700 near Dayanatpur (Dist. Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh) and 8-Lane divided carriageway with flexible pavement from Km 30+700 to Km 31+425. The total length of Project Expressway is 31.425 Km. The Jewar Expressway will connect the Noida International Airport at Km 31+425 in the state of Uttar Pradesh to DND-Faridabad Bypass to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Km 0+000 in the State of Haryana and also Joining through Yamuna Expressway at Km 30+226 & Eastern Periphery Expressway at Km 13+983. The alignment traverses through plain terrain completely.
This project will not only benefit to Air travelers but also enhance transportation options for other destinations in the region. The establishment of an additional link between Jewar International Airport and the rest of the Delhi-NCR region aligns with the objective of promoting efficient connectivity and infrastructure development.
Delhi stands to benefit the most with the opening up of the Jewar Expressway as long-distance vehicles will not be required to pass through the National Capital city on its completion. After the Jewar Expressway becomes operational, vehicles coming from Northern India on Yamuna Expressway and Eastern Periphery Expressway going towards Rajasthan and Gujarat can get on the KMP Expressway and take the National Highway-8 at Manesar. Similarly, those driving towards Central and Southern India can reach National Highway-2 from Palwal.
The Jewar Expressway will also provide a major boost to the development of the Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Several industries are established in the district which make it a major economic hub of Uttar Pradesh and also it will help to improve more connectivity and attract more investment to the district.
As per Schedule-B of the Concession Agreement, the scope of structure works includes 60 nos. Box Culvert, 44 nos. Underpass, 08 nos. Minor Bridge, 06 nos. Viaduct, 09 nos. Flyover, 01 no. ROB over DFCC & 01 no. Major Bridge over Yamuna River.
